Independent Jewish Voices Carleton

IJV Carleton is guided by the Jewish principles of Tzedek ve Shalom (Justice and Peace). We are a diverse group of people at Carleton, who come from various backgrounds, occupations, and affiliations, united by a shared commitment to universal human rights.

We believe that the wide range of perspectives within the Jewish communities at this university, across Turtle Island, and in Occupied Palestine are not adequately represented by the institutions that claim to speak for us all.

We also hold that everyone, regardless of their community, should have the freedom to express their views on matters of public concern without the fear of accusations of disloyalty.
